@Ivo, internally the work is done to support Google's birthday field but it isn't released yet because of a bug in the v3 API. A Google employee wrote that the fix might take a "few weeks", so in short: it's coming!

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your hard work, I REALLY love your add-on. I couldn't live without it.

Now that Google have added birthdays, are you planning to adding this feature?

Thanks much!

@ruudboek, they're not set in stone, but the defaults as they stand were chosen to balance competing objectives of wanting to:
- keep things in sync vs
- minimise intrusion in the UI

You can change the autosync defaults using the about:config editor, see Tools/Options/Advanced/Config Editor.

Thanks for making it possible to now use Zindus in combination with Spicebird, i was waiting for this ;)

Now finally got a mail program that does it all, it syncs google mail, google calendar and google contacts, perfect!

Just one question, why is the autosync by default configured with a delay at startup of 1 hour and a repeated sync every 12 hours?
Isn't that a bit too long? I would rather it syncs every 5 minutes or so.

With those delay times i feel compelled to do a manual sync every time i add a new contact, just to make certain that i've got all my contacts synchronized when i go somewhere without my laptop only have the gmail website available.
