Installs fine, and when i try to test the connection with my google account it says:
Login failed:
The Zindus addon isn’t compatible with pre-releases of Thunderbird.
For more information, see the FAQ: http://www.zindus.com/faq-thunderbird/#roadmap-thunderbird-3
using Karmic 64, Shredder 3.0pre2 or Schredder 3.2a1pre

I AM SO SORY!!!
I’ve read the faq (the #roadmap-thunderbird-3 does not exist on the page) and I’ve added
extensions.zindus.system.as_allow_pre_release
in the config editor. But now it says
Check your email address and password by logging in via the browser. Also check Thunderbird proxy settings.
http status code: 403
Checked the email address (twice), password and thunderbird proxy settings which are set to DIRECT CONNECTION

@Tristan, 403 is an error status code returned from google. I would try
- type your email address and password into notepad
- copy and paste them into gmail.com to be sure that you can login using them
- copy and paste them into Thunderbird/Tools/Zindus/Edit Account and select “Test Connection”
If you’re still getting an error then have a look at the logfile for clues and if you’re still stuck then feel free to email it through. For the location, see reporting bugs.

I opened Zindus account, copied the address in the clipboard, pasted in a text editor, then copied it again and pasted it back to Zindus, tested connection and NOW ITS WORKING!!!!
Amazing!!! I don’t know what it was!!!

I have had to install Thunderbird 3 again. Just as I have done previously, I installed Zindus, then entered by gmail.com account name and password in the settings. When I click on “Test Connection” I am getting the following error:
Login failed:
Check your email address and password by logging in via the browser. Also check Thunderbird proxy settings.
http status code: 403
My Thunderbird proxy settings are set to system proxy settings which are direct connection to internet. I’ve done nothing I have not done before. I’m confused….
I’m running
Thunderbird 3.0.4
Lightning 1.0b1
Provider for Google Calendar 0.6b1
Zindus 0.8.13.3
Can anyone give me some ideas on how to proceed with troubleshooting? I’m stumped..
tx…

Please disregard my previous message.
